Valeri Koev is a Name Partner in Law Firm Kolcheva, Koev and Partners (formerly known as Novel Consult in the period 1994 – 2007). He works mainly in the field of power and natural resources, concessions, privatization, project funding, commercial and corporate law, tax law, real estates, enforcement, litigation and arbitration. He has solid experience in project funding and has participated in complex restructuring deals of several big Bulgarian companies.

Valeri works actively on public-private partnership projects and syndicated project financing. He was in charge of the Bulgarian team advising a syndicate of 16 international banks and financial institutions on two projects for the construction and rehabilitation of two of the biggest Bulgarian thermal power plants. The total financing on the two projects is EUR 1.7 billion.

He further advised the client on the post-privatization restructuring of the company and on other matters such as the management of the real estates and infrastructure assets of the company (management and restructuring of more than 2,500 separate properties and more than 5,000 canal and cable networks).

Valeri has also advised the winning bidder of the Sofia Water Supply and Sanitation concession granted by the Municipality of Sofia first on the participation in the concession procedure and further on various post-concession matters, and participants in the procedure for privatization of Bulgartabac Holding EAD and Vinci Group on the concession of Varna and Burgas Airports.
