We have a proven track record of successful litigation in the area of commercial law. Commercial litigation lies in the basis of our court practice and we have represented numerous local and foreign companies in complex disputes in various economic sectors.
Our commercial litigators have worked on small and large cases in almost all Bulgarian courts of law, including the Supreme Administrative Court. We also offer litigation on civil and administrate cases, preparation of legal opinions and different types of documents (statements of claim, complaints, agreements, and etc).
Our litigators also try to provide different ways for out-of-court dispute resolution. Sometimes this may require the adoption of alternative procedures for dispute resolution such as mediation. Some of our lawyers are licensed mediators.
In recent years we have been actively involved in multi-aspect work on enforcement for debt collection on a nation-wide scale, including by obtaining of writs of executions, statements of ascertainment, enforcement proceedings, enforcement under the Registered Pledges Act, insolvency/bankruptcy and all claims related thereto, competition in proceedings, creditor competition, and etc.
We have substantial experience in debt collection abroad, locating abroad and selling of movables pledged under the Registered Pledges Act, release via foreign courts of law of movables pledged under the Registered Pledges Act that have been confiscated by the police or court authorities abroad. We maintain contacts and close coordination with a number of lawyers and collector organizations in the EU countries, Turkey, Macedonia, with which we partner as necessary to locate and seize movables pledged in Bulgaria under the Registered Pledges Act.
One of our partners is actively involved with national and international arbitration and is an arbiter with the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris either as a sole arbiter or as a member of a panel of arbiters, and is also a member of the Arbitration Council at the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria, the London Court of International Arbitration, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and the Institute of World Business Law. Another partner is a Chairperson of the Arbitration Court at the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria.
